Ludhiana – Khalsa Institute of Management & Technology celebrated Basant Panchami, the auspicious festival that marks the arrival of spring, with great enthusiasm on 03 February 2026. On this occasion, a vibrant Food Fest was organized on the campus to add flavor and festivity to the celebrations. The Food Fest was inaugurated by Ms. Kamaldeep Kaur, MasterChef India Season 7 finalist, who also served as the judge for the event. Students from all streams actively participated and displayed their culinary skills and creativity by preparing a wide variety of dishes. The stalls featured an array of traditional Punjabi delicacies such as sweet yellow rice, Makki di Roti and Sarson da Saag, along with snacks and desserts including dhokla, chaat, chocolate cakes, muffins, puddings, pani puri, and refreshing beverages. The Punjabi dhaba and golgappa stalls emerged as the major attractions of the event. Prizes were awarded to the best-performing stalls. The Punjabi Dhaba stall by MCA 4th Semester secured the first prize, followed by B.Com (H) 6th Semester girls, who won the second prize, while MBA 2nd Semester students bagged the third prize. The entire campus was adorned in shades of yellow, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. Students and staff members dressed in traditional yellow attire, symbolizing energy, prosperity, and the vibrancy of the spring season.
