GREEN LAND SENIOR SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL OBSERVES WORLD PULSES DAY

Ludhiana, 11 Feb., Green Land Senior Secondary Public School observed World Pulses Day with enthusiasm and educational purpose by organizing a series of awareness and research-based activities for students from Nursery to Class V. The celebration aimed to highlight the importance of pulses in daily nutrition and to inculcate healthy eating habits among students at an early age. The students of Nursery to Class II participated in short talk sessions, where teachers interacted with children and explained in a simple and child-friendly manner why pulses should be included in our daily diet. The young learners confidently shared their thoughts and learned that pulses help us grow strong, provide energy and keep us healthy. The students of Classes III to V were engaged in research activities focusing on the nutritional value of pulses. They gathered information about proteins, vitamins, minerals and the role of pulses in maintaining good health. Dr Rajesh Rudhra , the Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools stated that celebrating days like World Pulses Day helps children understand the value of healthy food choices. He emphasized that pulses are an essential part of Indian culture and nutrition and encouraged students to adopt balanced eating habits for a healthy life. The Principal Mrs Baldeep Pandher said that the objective of celebrating World Pulses Day was to create awareness about nutrition and sustainable food habits among children. She added that such activities help students develop confidence, research skills and a sense of responsibility towards their health.
