Ludhiana : With a resolute commitment to environmental stewardship, BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ldh hosted a dynamic ‘Climate Action Conclave’, celebrating student achievements while fostering a deeper sense of responsibility towards sustainability and ecological preservation.
The initiative gained further prominence as the school brought laurels through its remarkable performance at the ‘WriteToWin Winter 2025 Competition’— a prestigious platform dedicated to amplifying student voices on climate action. In recognition of this accomplishment, a grand felicitation ceremony was organized, wherein 23 students were honoured with cash prizes collectively amounting to ₹ 32,000, acknowledging their thoughtful contributions and creative advocacy for the environment.
Adding another feather to its cap, BCM Arya was conferred with the esteemed Green School Champion Award for its exemplary leadership and proactive initiatives in promoting sustainable practices. The school’s Environment Manager, Mrs. Vipra, was also felicitated with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her unwavering dedication towards nurturing environmental consciousness among students.
The conclave featured an engaging and insightful presentation by Team JJS, who illuminated the significance of environmental education and sustainable living. Students participated with great enthusiasm in collage and poster-making activities, alongside delivering articulate speeches on climate action, reflecting a profound awareness and commitment to safeguarding the planet.
The event was graced by Mr. Saket Sambhav, Founder of the WriteToWin organization, who lauded the students for their passion and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of environmental solutions. The School Principal, Dr. Anuja Kaushal, inspired students to translate awareness into action and become catalysts of positive change in building a greener and healthier future.
